Who is responsible for snow removal on a particular sidewalk?

It is the homeowner’s responsibility to remove snow and ice from all sidewalks adjacent to their property within 48 hours of the end of any snow, sleet or freezing rain. Failure to do so in the specified time frame is a violation of the Town’s Municipal Code and can result in a fine to the homeowner. For more information, refer to section 10.01.020 of the Parker Municipal Code or contact the Community Services Division of the Parker Police Department at 303.841.9800 or via email.

For property that is not adjacent to a private home or businesses and has not been cleared of snow, the responsibility for sidewalks likely lies with the HOA or Metro District, as the Town's snow removal practices and locations are well established. To find out more about a particular stretch of sidewalk, please call the Town Hall Customer Service Division at 303.841.0353.
