2018 Holiday Carriage Parade-224

2019 Christmas Carriage Parade
Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at Noon
Downtown Parker

The Parker Christmas Carriage Parade is a valued tradition held annually in downtown Parker in celebration of the holiday season. The Town of Parker and the Colorado Driving Society present this exciting event on the second Saturday of December each year and the parade is free to attend.

Come and experience that holiday feeling in the air and enjoy this all-equestrian parade made up of dozens of horse-drawn carriages, wagons, surreys and stagecoaches from across Colorado, all dressed up for the occasion.  Event-goers also enjoy a holiday farmer's market.

The Town hosted photo opportunity with Santa will now be part of the North Pole Pass Experience, which requires pre-purchase. (parents bring your own camera - there will not be a professional photographer onsite!)Schedule of Events

Event Day Road Closures

Due to staging and parade route needs, the downtown area will have several street closures.

7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

* The Pine Drive Bridge and all access points to South Pine Drive from Rodeo Circle to Mainstreet will be closed for parade staging. North entrance of Turtle Creek and Parker Hilltop Apartments will be blocked and the south exits will remain open.

* Mainstreet from S. Pine Drive to Pine Drive will be closed.

10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

* Mainstreet and all access points will be closed from Parker Road to Pine Drive.

* Victorian Circle and all access points will be closed.

Due to the road closures in downtown Parker, O'Brien Park, PACE Center, Discovery Park and Town Hall Parking Lots will not be open to the public for public parking on event day.  Limited accessible parking will be available in The Schoolhouse Lot.

Other non-Town facility public lots surrounding the downtown area will be open on parade day.  Attendees may also park west of Parker Road and walk through Kieffer's Crossing, an underground tunnel that helps pedestrians avoid crossing South Parker Road.  The tunnel is between Taco Bell/Long John Silver's and Colorado State Bank and Trust, and connects directly to O'Brien Park.

Parade Route

The Parade begins at noon, starting at the corner of PACE Center Drive and Mainstreet near Discovery Park where longtime event favorite Pam Terpenny will be announcing with her new-co-announcer, Jesse Greaves-Smith.  The Parade will travel west down Mainstreet past the Ruth Memorial Chapel and the Schoolhouse where announcers Kathy Sabine, Parker resident and local TV personality, and Mayor Mike Waid, Parker's very own local celebrity will be announcing as the horses go by! The parade will continue to Victorian Dive at O'Brien park and will round back around to Mainstreet via Victorian Drive.
