The Town Manager's Office Communications staff works to enhance communication between various Town departments and Parker residents, the media and other interested parties. Town-wide public relations are handled by our Communications professionals, including issuing news releases, responding to media inquiries and providing awareness of and opportunities for citizen involvement in the Town's decision-making processes. This staff also oversees marketing efforts for the Town's Economic Development Division.
Role & Responsibilities
Staff maintains the Town's website, including the online community calendar and email updates, produces the monthly Talk of the Town newsletter, the Annual Report and a variety of other publications and brochures about Town services and procedures.
The Communications staff contributes to Parker's hometown feel by providing a variety of community events at low or no cost to our residents and oversees community engagement efforts for the Town of Parker, including our online engagement platform, Let's Talk Parker.
Fundraising and sponsorship efforts for community events, as well as other marketing opportunities for area businesses, are also handled by Communications. Staff designs and distributes the Town's community survey, maintains the digital signage and provides Community Event Publicity Assistance for qualified groups.
