Planning Division(s) Modified Services
Please be advised that the Town of Parker Planning Division has modified its services as a result of the Town’s declaration of a Local Emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and previously declared State and Federal emergencies. The Planning Division will be open for business from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with Town Hall meetings by appointment only. The Division(s) staff will continue to answer phones, respond to emails, process applications through eTRAKiT, review plans and work to ensure that all proposals for development comply with the Municipal Code. The Division staff will hold virtual meetings with applicants, project representatives and residents through Microsoft Teams or conference calls.

All applicants and/or project representatives may pay required application fees by mailing a check to: Town of Parker, Planning Division, 20120 E. Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138-7335. Payment may also be made by credit card through an applicant’s and/or project representative’s eTRAKiT account via the Town website.

The Planning Division will continue to conduct site inspections in association with active projects. We ask that all applicants and their representatives work with us to communicate known or suspected illnesses to reduce the potential for community spread of COVID-19 and ensure the continued health of residents, staff and the public. If there is a known or suspected COVID-19 exposure, staff will work with the applicant and/or the contractor to reschedule the inspection for a future date.

In most cases, staff will complete inspections without meeting the applicant or consultants on site. However, the applicant should have a phone available to communicate with staff while performing the inspection. If it is determined by staff to be necessary to meet the applicant or an consultant on site the following will be applicable:

The applicant shall confirm that no occupants and/or workers are ill with the symptoms of COVID-19 per the CDC and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (fever, cough, sore throat, respiratory distress, etc.), have become ill within the last 14 days with such symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days, or have returned from a trip on a cruise or out of the country within the last 14 days.

Town staff may have personal protective equipment (PPE) for their use only and the property owner and contractor working are strongly encouraged to have and use their own PPE.

Finally, please be advised that Planning Commission and Town Council meetings required for development applications continue to be held at their regularly scheduled dates and times, but are held virtually. However, please be aware that these meetings still may be affected as the Town continues to implement the Local Emergency declaration and responds to public health concerns.

Development Review is responsible for processing Land Use Applications such as requests for annexation, rezoning, site plans and subdivision plats. This area also reviews Sign Permits, Temporary Use Permits (PDF), Home Based Occupation applications and requests for variances from the Land Development Ordinance.
