This is the final update on this emergency repair and the Town of Parker appreciates everyone’s patience during this project.
Project Update (July 21, 2023)
Bradbury Ranch Drive fully reopened to the traveling public on July 21.
While the roadway has been reopened, there is work that remains to be completed, and there will be associated traffic control for this remaining work. The Town is continuing to work with the Bradbury Ranch HOA’s landscaping contractor on the landscaping/irrigation restoration, and several utility companies will finalize their restoration work in the coming weeks. As this is an active construction site, we continue to request that no citizens visit the jobsite for everyone’s safety.
The Town appreciates everyone’s patience during this emergency repair!
Project Update (July 18, 2023)
Naranjo Civil Constructors has completed the replacement of the damaged 66-inch drainage metal culvert with reinforced concrete pipe and a new concrete headwall/energy dissipation structure was completed last week at the downstream end of the culverts. The existing Parker Water & Sanitation District (PWSD) waterline that was removed to allow for the culvert replacement has been reconnected and is back in use. Replacement roadway concrete flatwork (sidewalk plus curb and gutter) is substantially completed and asphalt paving the roadway is planned for mid-week. If all goes per plan, the roadway will be reopened to traffic at the end of business on Friday (07/21).
The Town is continuing to work with the Bradbury Ranch HOA landscaping contractor on the restoration and several utility companies will finalize restoration work in the coming weeks. As this is an active construction site, we continue to request that no citizens visit the jobsite for everyone’s safety.

Project Update (June 26, 2023)
Naranjo Civil Constructors is on site making the permanent repairs to the damaged 66-inch drainage culvert. Several utilities that impacted the storm drainage repair work have been isolated or are being supported to make the necessary excavation for the repairs. Repairs are proceeding, but heavy rains the previous week set back the repairs several days. Full repairs are anticipated to take several weeks to complete. As this is an active construction site, we request that no citizens visit the jobsite for safety.
Project Information (June 13, 2023)
- Heavy rainfall in the Parker area on the evening of Sunday, June 11 caused the failure of a drainage culvert located under Bradbury Ranch Drive, between McClellan Road and Independence Drive. This failure caused erosion of the roadway subgrade, eventually causing a portion of the roadway to fail.
- Town crews responded immediately and closed the roadway to traffic. No injuries or property damage associated with this issue have been reported.
- The Town mobilized an emergency contractor Sunday evening to stabilize the damage and restore stormwater flow underneath the roadway. This work was completed early Monday afternoon.
- The Town is now mobilizing a contractor to perform the ultimate repairs, which will include a full replacement of the drainage culvert along with repairing the roadway subgrade and pavement. This work will also require utility coordination and relocations to facilities located within the roadway corridor. It is anticipated that this work will begin immediately, but several weeks may be needed to complete the work and reopen the roadway to traffic.
- All areas of the Bradbury Ranch neighborhood remain accessible via alternate routes.
